Nîmes is also famous for its Bullfight festival (Feria) which takes place every year on the Pentecostal weekend, where those who follow bullfighting religiously mix with those who take it less seriously and others who simply want to drink and eat at one of the many outdoor restaurants (bodegas).

In the summer, Nîmes comes alive with various activities, especially the weekly "jeudis de Nîmes", a huge outdoor market with many free concerts which takes place every Thursday evening.
