The Pont du Gard, the Gorges of the Gardon and the region of Uzčs
It is the most prestigious section of the famous Roman aqueduct that brought water from Uzčs to Nīmes over
a distance of 50 km.
The Pont du Gard, which was registered as part of the global patrimony of the human race in 1985 and has been praised and admired by untold visitors, benefited from renovations befitting the greatest French and international cultural sites at the beginning of the 21st century.
A museum was created at that time which retraces the history of the aqueduct, from its construction up to our days, through the use of models, sounds and multimedia stations.
