Tourist curiosities in Nīmes...

Nīmes, generally speaking, is a city of contrasts, combining the Roman and the modern, marked by a strong Protestant culture which comes from the Cevennes all while being very Catholic, at times austere but often merry and festive.
All of this makes Nīmes extremely difficult to categorize.

Today the city is a lively place, where you can wander the streets and unexpectedly come upon charming squares or have a refreshing drink on the terrace of a café, and when your strength has returned you can go into the numerous charming shops to see how traditional know-how has been respectfully preserved.
Others might prefer to stroll through the magnificent Jardin de la Fontaine and why not climb to the top of the Tour Magne to take in, in one breathtaking view, a panoramic view of Nīmes and its red roofs. Tourist curiosities in Nīmes (Page 2)
